About Us
1) The Vision for Visually impaired Foundation (VVIF) is
the premier voluntary organization in INDIA serving visually impaired persons.
2) It provides services that help the blind and prevent the
tragedy of avoidable blindness
3) The Indian Association for the Blind always works
towards creating greater public awareness concerning the abilities and
capabilities of the visually impaired persons under its charge.
4) This is to ensure their better integration into the
society and a better quality of life.
5) In order to accommodate the changing needs, demands and
challenges of the modern world, VVIF strives constantly to improve and expand
its services for the betterment of visually impaired people.
Mission
To Help the Visually Impaired for Self-Employed, our mission is to
help the Visually Impaired help themselves by acquiring new skills and gaining
self dependence to survive with the incorporation into society.

Objective
1) To serve as an
Association for the visually impaired
2) To promote the
welfare of the visually impaired in the Republic of India
3) To facilitate and
encourage greater participation of the visually impaired in the supervision of
their issues and activities in the management of the Association
4) To work towards the
elimination of architectural, attitudinal, social, cultural, educational,
employment and any other barriers that prevent the total integration and equal
treatment of the visually handicapped in the community
5) To do any or all such
other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above
objects and shall include the appeal for funds in aid of the visually impaired
Who We Serve
Indian
citizens and permanent residents of all age groups. They must be certified as
having low vision (partial sight), or blind, by an eye specialist or
ophthalmologist. This includes people who are born blind as well as those who
have lost their vision through accidents or illnesses such as diabetes,
hypertension, tumour, eye infection and others.
